CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES

Sundays

Rotation Sunday School      10:00 a.m.

Come journey to the Kingdom with us during our Sunday Morning Rotation Sunday School. Each month the children learn about a different character in the Bible. Every Sunday they rotate to a different room to learn different parts of the story. The rooms include a movie room, arts & crafts room, computer room, story-telling room and the kitchen. In each different area, they will experience the story hands-on.

Children’s Church      9:20 a.m. & 11:20 a.m.

Children's Church is a church service designed for children in Kindergarten through third grade. It is offered during both services from the beginning of the sermon until the end of the service. Your children will go to church with you, and there will be a special time right before the sermon when your children may go to Children's Church. This gives your children an opportunity to learn about the church and then they will be able to enjoy a lesson on their level while you focus on worshipping.

Children's Music Series (C.M.S.)     4:45 - 5:30 p.m.

The Children's Music Series is taking a break for the summer and will start again in the fall with a new and exciting program

TeamKID     Grades K - 4      5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

TeamKID is taking a break for the summer, but we will resume in the fall with our new curriculum: Bible Skills, Drills & Thrills!

C.S.I. (Christian Students Incorporated)    Grades 5 - 6

C.S.I. is a Bible Study designed for fifth and sixth graders. Fifth and sixth grade is a critical time in your child's life and we help them to push forward with a focus on God. The leaders for C.S.I. are Rene Robinson and Angel Darden.

Some activities for C.S.I. include a movie day in June and skating party in July. In August, we will have a back-to-school party at a surprise location.

Activities This Summer

Terrific Tuesdays

During the summer months, we will enjoy Terrific Tuesdays. Every Tuesday, we will have something fun planned for the kids. All children MUST be accompanied by a parent. Siblings are invited.

Activities will include:

June 10 - Pool party at the Donalds' home - We will meet there from 10:00 until noon. Lunch will be provided.

June 17 - Trip to the Louisiana Purchase Gardens & Zoo - We will meet at the church at 9:30 a.m., ready to depart. Please bring a bagged lunch and money for the gift shop. The money for admission and one boat ride will be provided for each child.

June 24 - Trip to the Lincoln Parish Park - We will meet at the church and will be ready to depart at 9:30 a.m. We will carpool to Ruston. Please bring money for park admission ($1.50 per person), money for concessions, a bathing suit, towel and a change of clothes.

July 1 - Go to see the movie, "Wall-E" at the theater - Time and price to be announced.

July 8 - To be announced

July 15 - NO ACTIVITY due to this being the week of Vacation Bible School

July 22 - Trip to High Delta Safari Park in Delhi, LA - We will meet at the church at 9:00 a.m. Please bring your lunch and money for admission. Admission for adults is $14; for children under 12 - $8; for children under 2 - FREE.

July 29 - To be announced

August 5 - End-of-the-summer water party - This will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Lunch will be served.

Church Camps

There are different opportunities throughout the year to attend church camps. Two different camps we enjoy are Camp Caney and Pine Cove Camp. More information about these camps can be found on their websites:

Vacation Bible School

This year, our curriculum will be Group Publishing's Power Lab: Discovering Jesus' Miraculous Power!.
Vacation Bible School will be July 13 through 17 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.
