We worship in many ways and with many people. Come learn the songs we sing for our traditional or contemporary services. Don't forget to check out our pastor's latest sermons as well.
We have a variety of ministries for adult, youth, and child. Please come and see the many ways to experience our community.
The idea of selfless service is an important concept in most religions. Because God is perceived as residing in the heart of others, serving other people is considered an essential devotional practice.
Program Goals To provide a safe, nurturing and child centered atmosphere. To provide classroom settings that meet the needs of each individual child. To encourage positive feeling about self, school, church and the environment. To encourage sharing and cooperation. To implement an enriching curriculum for each class, including: beginning phonics, physical exercise, hands-on math and science, appreciation of art and music, and creative expression. To recognize and encourage the child's individuality and God given talents. To create the desire to learn. To emphasize self respect and respect of others. To encourage the development of positive self-esteem. To foster the development of language art skills including listening, comprehension, and letter recognition. To promote a love of God and His creation. Class Goals Infants: Our goal is to provide a loving, nurturing environment. Toddlers: Our intent is to provide a loving & nurturing environment where they may learn to share and to explore the world around them. 2 year olds: We strive to make the child's experience in the class-room a positive one. During the year, the children move from parallel play toward group play and sharing and discovering new skills through "hands-on" experiences in art, music, and physical activities. Learning how to learn and to listen are natural by-products of these activities. 3 year olds: Our goal is to create a loving and positive atmosphere for the child. Our hope is to develop his/her self-confidence while introducing new skills such as colors and shapes, use of scissors, and gluing, while remembering that our main objective is to make learning fun. All activities are creative and child-centered learning fun. Pre-schoolers: We try to be very sure that each child develops a positive self-concept and a respect for others. We expose the children to develop mentally appropriate readiness skills such as use of scissors, glue, writing materials and many different kinds of sensory experiences. Our goal is to help them become socially, emotionally and physically secure with their abilities to begin kindergarten. Activities The week is started with exercising and tumbling, as the children enjoy their visit on the 'Tumblebus'. (Extra cost.) Twice a month, a teacher from 'Compu-child' comes and teaches the children the basics on the computer. (Extra cost.) Monday mornings at 10:15 a.m., the children have chapel where the Bible unfolds thru object talks and singing. Melissa Enis (Children's Director), Jon Tellifero (Senior Pastor), or Marla Munn (Associate Pastor) lead the children as they learn of God's love for them. Field trips for the year include: Kiroli Park, Skatetown, La. Purchase Gardens and Zoo, the Children's Museum and movies. Our preschoolers will entertain us in a Christmas music/drama program. Summer 'Bibleloadium' will give the children 'hands-on' activities as they walk through God's Word. We start out at age two teaching about colors, shapes, numbers and the alphabet with the "Frog Street Press" curriculum.
