• serve

The idea of selfless service is an important concept in most religions. Because God is perceived as residing in the heart of others, serving other people is considered an essential devotional practice.

Are you looking to be a part of a caring community that is seeking to grow in Christian faith and love? First United Methodist Church is the place for you to discover these things and many, many more. We offer a place to worship, learn and become involved in our community. We have worship services for everyone, ranging from contemporary to traditional style. We offer professional child care during all of our worship services and activities, where your child is cared for and loved. For children we offer a roaring good time! Volunteers and staff coordinate, plan and prepare to make Sunday School and children’s events special. One of the highlights is our rotation model of Sunday School that keeps our children engaged in a variety of activities that make the Bible come to life for your child. For our Youth, we offer Sunday School, UMY Sunday evening gatherings, Small Groups, Missions and much more to Junior High School and High School students. FUMY is a ministry where students can discover who Christ is and what it means to have a positive relationship with Christ and others. Our Adult Discipleship ministries offer many classes and topics to study for every age group, stage of life or level of study. Sunday School, Short-term and long-term Bible study classes are offered throughout the year, along with many small groups and activies.
