EARLY LEARNING CENTER
Ages 6 Weeks – 12 Years
7:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday – Friday
We want to provide a loving and nurturing environment for our infants. For our toddlers, we provide a place that they may learn to share and to explore the world around them through music, movement, stories & activities.
2 Year Olds
We want to make the child’s experience in the classroom a positive one. During the year, the children are taught to share in group settings and group play. Discovering new skills through hands on experiences in art, music, and physical activities.
Pre-School 3 Year Olds
Strive to create a loving and positive atmosphere for the child. Our hope is to develop his/her self-confidence while introducing new skills such as cutting and pasting and continuing with colors and shapes, letters and numbers, while remembering that our main objective is to make learning fun. All activities are creative and child centered learning fun.
Pre-Kindergarten 4 Year Olds
We try to be very sure that each child develops a positive self-concept and a respect for others. We expose the children to developmentally appropriate readiness skills such as cutting, pasting, writing material and many different kinds of sensory experiences. Our goal is to help them become socially, emotionally, and physically secure with their abilities to begin kindergarten. Our preschool 3 and 4’s entertain us in a Christmas music/drama program. And, parents are invited to join us each year for our Holiday Feast.
After School Care and Summer School-Age Program
During the school year, children arrive at the center after school and are given a snack. A homework time is also provided Monday-Thursday. Games and other activities are provided daily. We provide pick up for after school care from George Welch, Kiroli, Drew, Claiborne Elementary Schools. Boley Elementary has a bus that will drop children off at the center.
Our summer program is for children ages 5-12. We have arts, crafts games, water play days and provide field trips that include but are not limited to visits to Kiroli Park, Skatetown, zoo, movies, Black Bayou, Lincoln Parish Park, Excalibur, putt putt golf, etc. There is an extra cost for outside field trips but we try to keep the cost as low as possible.
We also have extra activities offered at the center such as Tumblebus, TOTS (Teams of Tomorrow) and computer classes. Some of these do require and extra cost.
